Welcome to Switzerland
Arrive in Zurich, check into your hotel and enjoy some free time to explore. In the evening, meet your Tour Director and fellow travellers.

DAY 2 · ZURICH → LUCERNE
Lakes, Alps & Old-World Charm
Board the train to Lucerne, one of Switzerland’s most picturesque cities. Spend the rest of the day exploring its famous wooden bridge, historic centre and beautiful lakefront.

DAY 3 · LUCERNE → INTERLAKEN → MONTREUX → LAUSANNE
Your First Big Panoramic Rail Day
Travel aboard the Lucerne–Interlaken Express, cross the Brünig Pass and spend time in Interlaken. Then board the GoldenPass Panoramic Train for the spectacular journey to Montreux before continuing to Lausanne.

DAY 4 · LAUSANNE → MONTREUX → ZERMATT AREA
Lake Geneva to the Swiss Alps
Visit Montreux on the shores of Lake Geneva, surrounded by vineyards and snow-covered mountains. Enjoy a local wine tasting before continuing by train toward the Zermatt area.

DAY 5 · ZERMATT
Face to Face With the Matterhorn
Ride the Gornergrat Railway, Europe’s highest rack railway, for unforgettable views of the Matterhorn. Then enjoy free time to explore Zermatt’s cafés, shops and mountain streets.

DAY 6 · ZERMATT → ST. MORITZ
The Glacier Express
One of the signature days of the entire journey. Board the famous Glacier Express and travel through the Swiss Alps to St. Moritz, surrounded by mountains, valleys and untouched alpine scenery.

DAY 7 · ST. MORITZ → TIRANO, ITALY → ST. MORITZ
Cross the Alps Into Italy
Board the Bernina Express and cross the spectacular Bernina Pass into Tirano, Italy. Along the way, see glaciers, mountain streams and dramatic alpine landscapes before returning to St. Moritz.

DAY 8 · ST. MORITZ → ZURICH
Back to Zurich
Return to Zurich by train and enjoy some final free time in the city. Walk along the Limmat River, visit Lake Zurich or treat yourself to some Swiss chocolate.
In the evening, enjoy a farewell drink with your travelling companions.
